New Orleans-based gangsta rapper Juvenile was born Teruis Gray. Juvenile is recognized as hip-hop royalty, and is one of the pioneers of hip-hop music in the South. He is known for his distinguished voice, and his unique delivery of  hip-hop lyrics.
He began his performing career while in his teens, and in 1995 he released a regional smash single entitled “Bounce For The Juvenile”. He eventually crossed paths with Cash Money label owners Ronald and Brian Williams, who issued his 1996′s album Solja Rags. The album became a major underground hit, and set the stage for the Universal Records release of the 1998’s 400 Degreez album which sold over 4 million records. In 1999 the 400 Degreez album sparked two mega hits “Ha” and “Back That Azz Up."
With Juvenile’s popularity growing, in 2000 the Solja Rags album was reissued nationally. He ended the year with the release of a new studio effort, Tha G-Code which sold over 2 million records. Project English then followed in 2001 and went on to platinum sales.
In 2002 he left Cash Money and formed his own collective, the UTP Playas (Uptown Project Playas), with whom he recorded an album, The Compilation. A year later in 2003 he returned to Cash Money and released the platinum selling album Juve the Great, which featured the chart-topping Billboard #1 hit single “Slow Motion.”
Juvenile was ready once again to shop for a new label after the success of the album Juve The Great, and in 2005 he released “Nolia Clap” a single from the UTP Playas that became another big radio hit. As he was signing a new contract with Atlantic Records, his Slidell, Louisiana home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The hurricane and its grim aftermath were hot topics on his 2006 Billboard #1 chart-topping album Reality Check.
He went on to release the albums — Cocky & Confident in 2009, and Beast Mode in 2010. And in 2011 he released Rejuvenation, an album primarily produced by DJ Mannie Fresh. In 2014 Juvenile worked again with Cash Money Records, as a part of the “Rich Gang”.
Juvenile still remains at the top of the music scene, after touching and inspiring generations of fans. He is a brand that has demonstrated longevity as he goes down in history as one of the world’s premiere recording artist.
